ELEANOR ROOSEVELT ON COURAGE

I highly doubt that any person goes through life unscathed by some kind of trauma or hardship; therefore, I like this quote for anyone who needs it. I also think that those of us who have survived abuse, crimes or serious medical procedures do well to take this to heart: We made it; We’re here today; we’re alive!

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ ”
Eleanor Roosevelt
