A CACOPHONY

Thoughts and feelings reel;
They argue with each other
In a blinding fog of confusion

Quandaries gather;
They collect and multiply
Like piles of dry leaves blown by the wind.

Conflict arises;
It’s a cacophony
Of unsettling discenance.

Quiet my soul;
Let wisdom’s soft discourse come
To your ears with warmth, hope and joy.

Then you may rest;
Confusion will melt away
In the sunlight as it shines on you.
